In 2024, the Design Advocacy Group (DAG) has promoted advocacy in the excellence and equity of design, planning, architecture, and preservation. We have advocated for an improved process and better site for a new 76ers arena and provided guidance on the nascent Stadium District masterplan. We have worked to support historic preservation funding, advocated to save the Roundhouse for reuse and developed a wishlist of events and ideas for 2026. We have continued our work to support a comprehensive streeteries program for the city and improve Philadelphia's public realm. 

 

2024 was a busy year and 2025 is shaping up to be even busier. Help us continue to deliver quality community programming in 2025, and beyond, including free monthly events, special tours, forums, and increased advocacy. To increase our programming, we are introducing a new programming series, DAG Spotlight, focusing on individual projects that achieve excellence and navigate complicated challenges to achieve success.

 

Your tax-deductible contribution helps DAG present our free, monthly, open-to-the-public meetings and special events and supports DAG’s advocacy initiatives. Even a small contribution is a signal to potential funders and decision makers that DAG matters!

 

DAG is careful with your dollars; we run on volunteer power with only one, excellent, part-time staffer. 

DAG's meetings take place in both online and in-person formats, with all events free and open to the public. We also publish videos on our website to expand the reach of our programming.
